Introducing Lark + Laurel Camp!

Songs, stories, and stage time. That’s what your child can expect all week when they come to Lark + Laurel Camp!

Five mornings of folk song and dance, creating props and stage, and a classic tale brought to life on stage creates a wonderful week of fun that will culminate in a Friday afternoon performance for your family! Your kids won’t just hear a story. They will make it themselves and then step inside it!

This camp will be taught by Katie McKenna and Stephanielynn Büda, two homeschool mommas with an education and passion for music and story… and making both fun, enjoyable, and meaningful for children both in their homes and in their classrooms.

What the Week Looks Like

Monday: Our tale is told. Songs are learned by ear. Casting begins, and Stagecraft starts!
Tuesday: Rehearsal begins. Songs grow stronger and dances take shape. Stagecraft continues!
Wednesday: We continue blocking and run-throughs. Rehearse our songs and dance. Stagecraft projects take shape.
Thursday: Full rehearsal with costumes and props. Final stagecraft touches. Everything comes together!
Friday: Dress rehearsal in the morning and we prepare for our showcase! Families arrive at 11:30. Showcase at noon will include our folk songs and dance, the play we’ve rehearsed, and an opportunity to see everything your kids created to help our story come alive!
